Larry Moss (Raisean) begins his life’s journey on February 1,
1957 in Washington, D.C. He was born to Fred and Pearl Moss,
who preceded him in death.
Larry (Raisean) joined the United States Navy in 1970 and was
discharged with an Honorable.
Larry moved to Illinois, and later met and married Albennetta
Jelks and to this union one child was born.
Larry (Raisean) obeyed the Gospel under the Evangelist James
Jelks.
Larry (Raisean) was a volunteer at the Edward Hines VA Hospital
where he received his health care. He as known for his kind heart
of always trying to help a fellow veteran and for his extravagant
clothing, his loud voice and his music and big smile and his jokes.
Everyone called him (New York) because his accent.
Larry (Raisean) is preceded in death by his brother “BOO” and his
sister, Tawanna.
He leaves in his memory to cherish, his children, Ebonee
Rashawna Moss, Rashawn Lasenberry, Helene Lasenberry and
one sister, Donna. Nine grandchildren, Pierre Jr, Yolonda and
Endia Hampton, Natalie and Nathaniel Reynolds Porsha Moss,
James Barber Jr, Rhyanna Lasenberry, Rashawn Lansenberry Jr.
and a host of VA friends, family and other friends.
