Grace Diewald Obituary

Grace Elizabeth Diewald 20 of St. Charles IL, died October 31st, 2022 in a car accident at
Empire Road near the Intersection of Kings Wood Drive in Unincorporated Campton Township.
Gracie was a graduate of Burlington Central High School. Gracie was attending UW Waukesha
as well. She was born February 5th 2002 in Burlington WI, daughter of Dan Dewalt and Wendy
Diewald.

Grace was a high school cheerleader at Burlington Central. She was with Explosion Cheer and
Iconic Cheer and she was accepted to the UW Milwaukee cheer team. She was in The Fierce
Four of the winding waves swim team. Gracie was a lifeguard as well. Gracie was an influencer
on social media. Gracie was involved in Feed My Starving Children and the Illinois Food Bank.
Grace was so nice to everyone she met. She was a great friend, daughter, sister, aunt and
cousin. She would always write long meaningful letters to all of her family for Christmas. She
always knew how to make you feel good about yourself. She made friends wherever she would
go and was so great with the kids. She was very health conscious and athletic and worked out
at the gym everyday. She always wanted to prove how strong she was. She loved poetry and
femenist movies. She was goofy and always made everyone laugh and her smile lit up the
room. Her passion was cheer and her goal was to go to Worlds. She loves recording her life
events and memories through pictures and videos. She always wanted to make more memories
and was always planning for a new adventure. When life brought her down, she always thought
of the glass half full. Her favorite quote was “Good friends are like stars, you don’t always see
them, but you always know they are there.”

Grace is survived by parents Dan Dewalt and Wendy Diewald. She was also survived by her
sister Miranda Maloney and her husband Travus Maloney and their two children Jerry (8) and
