Bartolo Nava

My dad Bartolo Nava was an amazing father, grandfather, brother & friend to many. As a son, Bartolo was always attentive to his mother. Family and friends were important and would always attend family gatherings. Bartolo volunteered at the Illinois Army National Guard’s 1244 th in North Riverside. He received an Appreciation Award and a medal for his hard work. He helped many Army families when their loved ones were overseas. Bartolo worked endless hours picking up donations to help support Holiday parties for the soldiers and their families. He also volunteered at Montford Point Marine Association. He was a kind person that earned peoples respect over the years. Bartolo worked at E Toman for over 15 years. He was honest, reliable and took pride in his work. His hobbies included photography and building models. We called him the “paparazzi” of the family. It was important to him to have family pictures and to be able to share with others. He enjoyed building models and would receive requests from the soldiers to build models of their Army vehicles. He felt honored and put his heart into doing the models. We will always cherish the time we had with him. There is a void in our heart that will always remain, but we know he’s in a better place and is no longer suffering. Please join us in celebrating his life Sunday, February 21, 2021 @ 4:00pm central time thru a Zoom Funeral service. The information will be added to his Face Book page. Also, the Burial of his Ashes will be at the Queen of Heaven in the Summer months. The date will also be added on his Face Book page.
