Anthony Haney Obituary

Anthony C. Haney, age 67, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, in Aurora, Illinois. Born on April 20, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, Anthony lived a life defined by service, faith, music, and love for family.  Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Nicolas, and his father, William M. Haney.  He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Janet ; his loving daughters, Jeronica, Muffin, Tonie and Hadassah, and one son, Billy;  His sister, Yvonne, his brothers, Frank and Louis and nephew Courtney and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones. Anthony attended Guggenheim elementary school and Graduated from Calumet High school before he inlisted in the Navy.  He was a man of many talents and a heart for serving others. By profession, he was a caregiver, dedicating his life to helping and uplifting those in need. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later as a U.S. Marshal, exemplifying discipline, integrity, and commitment.  In his younger years, Anthony was a gifted musician and artist known especially for his skill on the drums, bringing rhythm, joy, and energy wherever he played. Music was one of his many passions and a beautiful expression of his spirit. Above all, Anthony was a man of deep faith. He was a devoted Hebrew Israelite and a faithful member of The Universal Kingdom of God House of Israel led by Rabbi Richard Nolan in Harvey, Illinois, where he worshiped and served for over 30 years. His faith guided his life, shaped his character, and strengthened all who knew him.  Anthony will be remembered for his quiet strength, warm smile, and unwavering dedication to family and community. His legacy of service, faith, and love will live on through all who were blessed to know him.  Private family burial with military honors accorded at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood Illinois.
