PAUL J. SLIVINSKI of Oak Park, IL (formerly of Berwyn, IL) passed away on October 15, 2018. Paul lived an abundant, creative 92 years. He was a loving husband to Helen Slivinski (nee Kaspar) for 62 years; father to Ann Slivinski, Lucy Slivinski and David Slivinski; and grandfather to Theo Glaser, Vanessa Slivinski, Kindra Slivinski, and Matthew Slivinski. Paul was born in Chicago to immigrant parents from Lithuania. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy. Paul touched many lives for many years as an educator: as a Biology teacher (St. Ignatius High School in Chicago) and as a school principal at Pershing School in Berwyn. Paul was also an artist and actor who lived his life with purpose and passion.
A celebration of his life will be held on November 17 at the Third Unitarian Church in Chicago. Contact 708-912-5901 for more information.
