Tita, Anita Ruiz (1925-2017) has joined beloved son Gilbert.  She was a mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was one who welcomed everyone to her home and heart, and loved to share her tamales, mole or simply frijoles with them.  She was born in Guanajuato, lived in Matamoros, and flourished in Chicago. Her love for grampa, her family, pancho, unfinished crafts, gardening, and music will serve as testament of her life.
